Do you know your pop music? Do you want to find out?
Welcome to the first Lions’ Log contest of the semester! Taking the form of a quiz, this contest will challenge your knowledge of pop artists, pop music history, and pop songs, all the way from its beginning in the 1950s to today.
To participate, head to the Microsoft form below and fill out every answer you can without cheating or looking up the answers.
You can leave some questions blank if you do not know the answers to them, but try to fill everything. Any answer is better than no answer! You will have until October 1st at 11h45 pm to participate. After that date, the contest will be fully closed and no more answers will be accepted.
To make sure that we can have a winner, you will be asked to put your full name and your student email (formated as such: firstname.lastname@stu.slc.qc.ca). Our team will be the only one to see that information, unless you are the winner, in which case we will ask you if you are comfortable with us sharing your name in the winner announcement of our next issue. If you are not comfortable with sharing that information with us, we suggest that you do not participate, since we will not be able to identify you if you end up winning the contest.
The winner will be the person who has the most right answers. If we end up having multiple people who qualify, we will randomly draw a name from those qualifying to determine a single winner.
If you are the winner, we will contact you by MIO to give you your prize, a 10$ gift card of your choice (within reason).
All the answers to the quiz will be posted in our second issue that will come out on October 5th, in an article titled “Answers and Winner Announcement: Do You Know Your Pop Music History?”
